Time: It's Never Enough

BismilLahir Rahmanir Rahim.

Assalamua'laykum w.b.t

Ask yourselves right now, what will you do if today is your last day of life? Some might say: I want to pray!! I want to seek forgiveness from the people around me!! I want to,I want to, I want to... and the list goes on and on.

Now, lets draw out another question, what will you do, if since at the moment you were born, you already knew when are you going to die?

Awesome rite,eh? Because you will have yourself prepared from that point of time.

But, by fact, do we know how much time do we have in this world?

Tick.....Tock....Tick....Tock...

And the next moment, we might just find ourselves the Munkar and Nakir is standing right in front of us.

Allah reminded us in His words that life is short:

It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof.(79:46)

By right, we have spoken like this when we meet our old friends.

"It seems like it was yesterday that we just met"

A familiar conversation right?

By default, time is too short for everyone. That is why, it defines that human is always in a state of loss(rugi):

By time(1)

Indeed, mankind is in loss(2)
(103:1-2)

To understand the verse much clearly, the essence of Arabic language is needed here. When the kalimah Inna( إن) meets the letter Lam in the word Lafi(لفي) the Lam is called Lam Muzhalaqah and it means that Allah is showing an exaggeration regarding with the issue brought.

We are,by default in a state of loss. The question to be asked is, what kind of loss?Allah said:

Say, [O Muhammad], "Shall we [believers] inform you of the greatest losers as to [their] deeds?(103)

[They are] those whose effort is lost in worldly life, while they think that they are doing well in work."(104)

Those are the ones who disbelieve in the verses of their Lord and in [their] meeting Him, so their deeds have become worthless; and We will not assign to them on the Day of Resurrection any importance.(105)(18:103-105)

In this very short duration of life, we are put into test by our Creator:

[He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving (67:2)

Then, what should we do? Take a deep breath, and embrace the following verse to understand the way to turn away from the loss to profit business:

Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.(103:3)

Let us not take the world as our objective. This world has no value for us to reach for, as it cannot save us from the torment of Hell Fire. RasululLah said:

Jabir ibn Abdullah (RA) said that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam once passed by the marketplace, passing from the area of Al-'Aliyah, while people were all around him. He then passed by a dead goat, which ears were small, then took it by the ear, saying,"Who amongst you would like to have this (dead goat with small ears) for a Dirham (a currency)?" They said, "By Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala! Even if it was alive, its small ears will be a deficiency, so how about when it is dead?" He sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam said, "By Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala! The Dunya is less significant in the Sight of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala than this is to you."(Shar'h Muslim)

Stay STRONG, my dear Brothers and Sisters, for Jannah is for the ones who has patience.

RasululLah said:

The Dunya is the prison for the Believers and heaven for the disbelievers
(Narrated by Muslim)

We do not have all the time in the world,  we must act fast!!

And the way that will keep us on the right track in our effort to obtain His blessing (MardhatilLah) and hence His Jannah, is none other than to follow the Quran and Sunnah.
